Construction and Remodeling Questions

Planning a project starts with understanding the scope and the next steps. These answers cover common questions; details depend on your property and the work you choose.

What services do you offer?

Our services include ADUs, new construction, home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, whole-home renovations, targeted home improvements and general contracting. We also work on commercial construction and remodeling and residential and commercial interior design. Explore all services.

Where do you work?

We serve Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Check our service areas, then share your city or neighborhood and project scope so we can confirm coverage.

Do I need completed drawings before contacting you?

No. You can start with your goals and any information already available. If you have plans, share them so we can discuss the construction scope and what remains to be reviewed.

Is the online estimate a final quote?

No. The cost estimator provides a preliminary planning range. A project-specific proposal depends on the property, design, materials, required work and any other applicable project conditions.

Who handles design, engineering and permits?

The responsibilities should be established in the agreed scope. Projects may involve architects, engineers, designers and the authority responsible for the property. We coordinate the relevant project team and construction requirements; approvals depend on the applicable review process.

How long will my project take?

Timing depends on design decisions, approvals, material availability, site conditions and the amount of work. Discuss the planning and approval stages separately from construction, and review the expected sequence before work begins.

Can I stay in my home during remodeling?

It depends on the rooms affected, utility interruptions, safe access and the type of work. A bathroom or kitchen may be unavailable for part of the project, and a substantial whole-home remodel may call for temporary accommodation. Plan this before construction begins.

How are changes handled?

Before work starts, review the process for approving changes to the scope, materials, cost or schedule. Any revised work should be clearly documented so everyone understands the decision.
